Family and Friends CPR
This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.
This dynamic course teaches lay-rescuer skills in CPR; AED use; and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. Classes are thaught by a certified American Heart Association instructors.
Designed for large-scale community training events, Family & Friends® programs will help you increase bystander action in emergency situations -- and the number of people who survive sudden cardiac emergencies!

Family & Friends® programs are intended for members of the general public who would like to learn basic CPR, including:

athletes or wilderness explorers

members of volunteer organizations

residents of rural areas or locations prone to natural disasters
These programs are noncredentialed -- no course card will be awarded upon completion. Anyone required by his or her employer or wishing to be credentialed as a lay responder should take a Heartsaver ® course.
