Combo Renewal Class of BLS, ACLS and PALS - following the 2020 Guidelines

Pre course Work Required

Since all our classes are small sizes, and 1:1student-manikin ratio, skills check is faster.

Our instructors are excellent and focusing on the important key points to help you easily understand ACLS.

  • 1-day accelerated: The 1-day Accerated BLS, ACLS and PALS course  covers all the skills requires the  student to study, review the videos and  take the pre-test prior to class. Shorter breaks. We offer this course more regularly.

BLS, ACLS, PALS Renewals/Updates done in 4-6 hours, depending on class size.

Audience:

ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

The ACLS courses cover:

  • 1-Rescuer CPR and AED use

  • Science Overview

  • Team Dynamics

  • BLS and ACLS Surveys

  • Immediate Post-Cardiac Arrest Care

  • Airway Management/Respiratory Arrest

  • Peri-arrest Rhythms (Tachycardia, Bradycardia)

  • Arrest Rhythms (VF, PVT, PEA, Asystole)

  • Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS)

  • Stroke

  • Megacode treatment

PALS is designed, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

  • 1- and 2-rescuer child CPR and AED use

  • 1- and 2-rescuer infant CPR

  • Cardiac, respiratory and shock case discussions and simulations

  • Key changes in pediatric advanced life support, reflecting the new science from the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care

  • Management of respiratory emergencies

  • Resuscitation team concept

  • Rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy

  • Systematic Approach to Pediatric AssessmentVascular access

Coverage:

Course content: After completing the course, students should be able to:

  • Define systems of care

  • Apply the BLS, Primary, and Secondary Assessments sequence for a systematic evaluation of adult patients

  • Discuss how the use of a rapid response team (RRT) or medical emergency team (MET) may improve patient outcomes

  • Discuss how the use of a rapid response team (RRT) or medical emergency team (MET) may improve patient outcomes

  • Discuss early recognition and management of ACS, including appropriate disposition

  • Discuss early recognition and management of stroke, including appropriate disposition

  • Recognize bradycardias and tachycardias that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome

  • Perform early management of bradycardias and tachycardias that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome

  • Model effective communication as a member or leader of a high-performance team

  • Recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance

  • Recognize respiratory arrest

  • Perform early management of respiratory arrest

  • Recognize cardiac arrest

  • Perform prompt, high-quality BLS including prioritizing early chest compressions and integrating early automated external defibrillator (AED) use

  • Perform early management of cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care, including immediate post–cardiac arrest care

  • Evaluate resuscitative efforts during a cardiac arrest through continuous assessment of CPR quality, monitoring the patient’s physiologic response, and delivering real-time feedback to the team

Students must hold a Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider card to take the course. Students must pass a written exam and megacode skills test in order to qualify for an ACLS Provider Course Completion Card.

Approved by the American Heart Association, an organization accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS), for 12.00 Advanced CEHs, activity number 17-AMHA-F2-0119.

The ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills; emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.

Please note that ACLS Initial by American Heart Association regular program is 10-12 hours. With Healthforce we try our best to complete the discipline within a day (6-10 hours),  depending on class size and shorten breaks. For classes more than 6 students may take 8-10 hours.  Usually we cater small class sizes, so expect to finish training in an average of 6-8 hours for initial, and 4-6 hours for renewal. To check out the expected class size on a certain schedule, clarifications or questions please do not hesitate to call us at 1-866-277-9593.

The ACLS Initial course covers:

  • Basic life support skills

  • Early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest

  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as sympotmatic bradycardia

  • Airway management

  • Related pharmacology

  • Mangement of acute coronary syndroms (ACS) and stroke

  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team and effective team dynamics

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

Please note that PALS Initial by American Heart Association suggested curriculum is 12-16 hours or 2 days. With Healthforce we try our best to complete the discipline within a day (8-10 hours),  depending on class size and shorten breaks. Classes more than 6 students may take 10-16 hours.  Your instructor may inform you if your class may need a 2nd day/extension day.  Usually we cater small class sizes, so expect to finish training in an average of 8-10 hours for initial, and 4-6 hours for renewal.  It is required at least to take the Pre test exam, which will be emailed to you after your registration as your borderline knowledge about the PALS course. Try the best highest score that you can attain. Print and bring your certificate during your training schedule. Good Luck.
