CPR Bill Passes First Test

Last week, House Bill 1276, which creates a grant program for schools to teach CPR in high schools across the state, was heard (and passed!) by a legislative committee. Two advocates, Lindsay Hayden and Cameron Oliver were there to testify.

In April of 2008, Lindsay experienced a Sudden Cardiac Arrest in a high school classroom. Cameron acted quickly and started to perform CPR on Lindsay.

Cameron was the only person in the room who knew what to do when Lindsay went down, and Lindsay is alive today because of Cameron.

The two are a true testament to the importance of teaching CPR to high school students across the state.

We will need your continued support to pass HB 1276! Stay tuned for opportunities to act.
