Healthfoce Training Center prioritizes the safety of all our students and instructors.
The following are the additional safety precautions that we will be practicing until further notice.
We are known to run and limit our classes in small sizes. Our classrooms and class size is never crowded compared to other training centers.
As an additional safety precaution to the ongoing spread of the COVID-19
all classes will temporarily not be practicing giving breaths using a pocket mask with a one-way valve.
This will avoid droplets of saliva at our manikins, pocket masks, and tables.
Non-healthcare providers will only practice Hands-Only CPR.
Healthcare providers will still practice giving breaths using a bag-mask device.
If a student wish to practice giving breaths using a pocket mask with a one-way valve, the student is welcome to sit-in on future classes with no extra fee.
If you are not feeling well, please call us at 1-866-277-9593 to reschedule your class.
Calling 24 hours before your appointment, we get to waive your rescheduling fee.
As added precautions, Healthforce will follow the AHA recommendations for equipment decontamination during CPR training with the following additional requirements:
-
All Participants should practice good hygiene, including hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after the course, and before and after snack or meal breaks.
-
All our Instructors will decontaminate the manikins after each student and practices or test on the manikin using an alcohol-based solution per CDC recommendations.
-
Each student will be provided with a pocket mask and one way valve when practicing one-rescuer skills. (HF will not practice one-rescuer skills until further notice). Pocket mask should not be shared during the course.
-
Bag masks should be used when practicing two-rescuer skills, and participants should wear gloves and clean bag masks between practices with an alcohol-based solution per CDC recommendations,
-
When possible, manikins should be spaced apart at least 3 feet (1 meter) during training, based on WHO guidance on social distancing.
These additional precautions should be practiced as per AHA guidelines until April 30, 2020, and may be extended by the AHA, if needed.
