About the course
This course is NOT designed for healthcare providers.
This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs to know how to perform CPR or to obtain a certificate for CPR to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. This course is highly recommended for daycare workers, school teachers, security personnel, summer camps, work, babysitters, as well as construction workers.
This course may be offered in elementary, middle, and high school settings over multiple class periods using standard student and instructor materials and a school version of the course completion card.
Audience
Heartsaver® CPR AED for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including:
Security Guards
Airline Personnel
Police Officers
Firefighters
It is also appropriate for lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, and family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death.
