Advance Cardio Life Support (ACLS)

The ACLS course is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.

The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.

This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements. 

Skills are taught in large-group sessions and small-group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

Initial Certification

We offer 2 ways to take the Initial Course, 2 day traditional or 1-day Accelerated. 

  • 1-day accelerated:                              The 1-day Accerated ACLS course  covers all the skills requires the  student to study, review the videos and  take the pre-test prior to class. Shorter breaks. We offer this course more regularly. 

  • 2-day traditional                                 The 2-day ACLS course covers all the   skills and video's.  Recommends students to prepare for class through     studying the pre-crouse videos and take the pre-test at prior to class. Slower Phase-more time for students to practice skills prior to skills test and an longer lunch breaks and coffee breaks. We offer this course once or twice a month in all of our locations.   

 

ACLS Renewals/Updates done in 4hours.

The 1-day ACLS Renewal/Update program is for students renewing with current or recently expired cards (less than a year expired) who wish to remain certified. All renewals must present proof of valid or recent expired AHA ACLS card/ecard/certificate

Coverage:

 

  • Basic life support skills

  • Early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest

  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as sympotmatic bradycardia

  • Airway management

  • Related pharmacology

  • Mangement of acute coronary syndroms (ACS) and stroke

  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team and effective team dynamics

Students must hold a Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider card to take the course. Students must pass a written exam and megacode skills test in order to qualify for an ACLS Provider Course Completion Card. 

Approved by the American Heart Association, an organization accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS), for 12.00 Advanced CEHs, activity number 17-AMHA-F2-0119.

The ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills; emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.

 

Please note that ACLS Initial by American Heart Association regular program is 12-16 hours or 2 days. With Healthforce we try our best to complete the discipline within a day (6-10 hours),  depending on class size and shorten breaks. For classes more than 6 students may take 10-16 hours.  Usually we cater small class sizes, so expect to finish training in an average of 8-10 hours for initial, and 4-6 hours for renewal. Textbook is required for the class. Any student who does not have the correct book or does not bring the book will have to purchase one on the day of the course. You have the option to purchase the required printed version OR the eBook (eBooks can take up to 24 hours to receive).
