PALS is designed, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills; emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.
Please note that ACLS Initial by American Heart Association regular program is 10-12 hours. With Healthforce we try our best to complete the discipline within a day (6-10 hours), depending on class size and shorten breaks. For classes more than 6 students may take 8-10 hours. Usually we cater small class sizes, so expect to finish training in an average of 6-8 hours for initial, and 4-6 hours for renewal. Please note that PALS Initial by American Heart Association suggested curriculum is 12-16 hours or 2 days. With Healthforce we try our best to complete the discipline within a day (8-10 hours), depending on class size and shorten breaks. Classes more than 6 students may take 10-16 hours. Your instructor may inform you if your class may need a 2nd day/extension day. Usually we cater small class sizes, so expect to finish training in an average of 8-10 hours for initial, and 4-6 hours for renewal. It is required at least to take the Pre test exam, which will be emailed to you after your registration as your borderline knowledge about the PALS course.
